On Wednesday, April 26th, 2017, Torontonians will be invited once again to take part in A Taste for Life simply by dining out at a Taste restaurant. Participating restaurants will donate a portion of their gross proceeds from the evening to support Fife House and people and families living with HIV/AIDS. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling the restaurants directly.
A Taste for Life is a restaurant-based fundraiser and one of Fife House's signature events. Last year, A Taste for Life raised more than $110,000 in support of Fife House with more than $130,000 in sales at participating restaurants and attracted over 3,500 diners. Now in it's 17th year, we hope to bring together 60 restaurants and raise $115,000. Due to the nature of the event and the commitment of volunteers, 93% of the money raised goes directly to programs and services at Fife House.
Taste diners are able to participate in our raffle the night of the event as a thank you for particpating. Our 2017 prizes include:
First Prize: WestJet trip for two to any destination they fly to. (Priceless)
Second Prize: VIA Rail trip for two to Montreal. ($900)
Third Prize: The Food Dudes BBQ Buffet Drop gift certificate. ($500)
Volunteer hosts are an integral aspect of this event. They invite their friends, family, coworkers and networks to dine at a restaurant at the event, helping us support the participating restaurants.
