COVID-19 FAQs

Please review “Preparing for an appointment at Fife House during COVID-19” below to learn what to expect on your next in-person appointment.

You will only be able to access the 2nd Floor of 490 Sherbourne site by using our Main Entrance and using the intercom to buzz 1900.  The receptionist will confirm you have a scheduled appointment and will then grant you access to the building. A staff member will meet you outside of the elevator to bring you to the 2nd floor.  If you do not have a scheduled appointment you will not be able to enter the building at this time.

Preparing for an appointment at Fife House during COVID-19

We are only open to clients with appointments at this time.

Thank you for your patience and continued efforts to help keep our community safe! With your support, we can continue to provide safe and responsible care to Fife House clients during COVID-19, and beyond.

We have undergone many changes to keep everyone safe. Here’s what you can expect when you come into 490 Sherbourne for your appointment:

Hand Hygiene
You will be asked to sanitize your hands when you check in at the main reception area, and before you enter or exit any rooms/offices. Take advantage of our hand sanitizer stations around the building.

Screening
Everyone entering a Fife House site is screened at the front entrance.  After sanitizing your hands, you will be asked questions by a Fife House staff member regarding COVID-19 symptoms.  If the screening questions indicate that you may have been exposed or may be experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 your appointment will not proceed and you will be encouraged to seek testing as soon as possible at a local COVID Assessment Centre.

Masks
You will be required to wear a mask/face covering throughout your visit to Fife House.  If you do not have a mask, one will be provided to you upon arrival.  If desired, masks can be disposed of at the end of your visit in the bins provided when you exit.

Physical Distancing
There are reminders posted throughout our sites. Please maintain a distance of 2m (6 ft) from others. Try not to arrive at your appointment more than 15 mins early and exit once your appointment is completed.
