Join the call to action with HIVfunding.ca Campaign to address the lack of funding towards HIV. As the upcoming International AIDS Conference will be held in Montreal this July, we need everyone’s help in calling on the federal government to take action for the HIV response!
This summer, the National Advocates—a group of community-based and human rights organizations—are calling for an end to the underfunding of HIV in Canada. Since funding for HIV was frozen in 2008, the number of people living with HIV in Canada has increased by 25%. This means that demand for services has increased while available resources have decreased. Community-based organizations must do more with less.
Together, the National Advocates are encouraging people in Canada to join the call by writing to their MP and the Minister of Health. Learn more and write a letter of support at HIVfunding.ca.
