Since 2001, the “A Taste for Life” (ATFL) annual event have raised more than $1.5 million for Fife House’s housing programs and services in support of people and families living with HIV/AIDS. Fife House is enormously grateful and very appreciative to all of our restaurant partners, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who have supported this wonderful initiative over the years.
The concept is simple: Restaurant establishments in Toronto partner with Fife House to host A Taste For Life, and in so doing, commit to donating a portion of their sales for the event to Fife House. Friends and supporters of Fife House are encouraged to make reservations and/or drop in for a delicious meal during A Taste of Life at any of the participating partner restaurants. In addition, diners are also encouraged to make individual donations to Fife House as well.
The event began in 1999 as a joint fundraising initiative between Bruce House and the Snowy Owl AIDS Foundation in Ottawa, and has since grown to include other organizations across Canada. In Toronto, A Taste For Life is organized by Fife House, in partnership with various restaurant partners, and all funds raised locally goes towards Fife House.

Participating Restaurants Raffle Prizes & How to be Entered into Raffle Donate
Dine out at participating restaurants to support Fife House and help provide supportive housing and services for vulnerable community members and families living with HIV/AIDS.
Fife House is pleased to once again announce the date for our delicious annual fundraising event, A Taste for Life. Building upon the remarkable momentum and support we received last year, we are thrilled to invite you to be a part of this special event once again.
A Taste for Life is all about enjoying a delicious meal out and coming together as a community – with your family, friends or colleagues – to make a meaningful difference in support of vulnerable community members and families who are living with HIV/AIDS, and experiencing housing insecurity/homelessness.
How to Take Part:
- It’s easy! Our generous restaurant partners have pledged to donate a portion of their revenue from the day of the event to Fife House, so you will be supporting Fife House simply by eating at participating restaurants on April 15th. There are no tickets to A Taste For Life, but we highly encourage you to make reservations with the restaurant of your choice ahead of time.
- To make an even bigger difference and impact, we also encourage and invite you to consider making a personal donation directly to Fife House. Every single dollar that you donate adds to the collective impact from the event on the lives of some of the most vulnerable members of the community.
- Bonus: your donation to Fife House on the day of the event automatically enters you into a raffle for a chance to win some amazing prizes!
- You can increase your chances of winning by completing the event feedback form and posting photos of yourself and/or your party at the restaurant on social media with the hashtags #ATFLToronto #ATFL2026.
So on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, give yourself a break from cooking; ditch your pans in the kitchen, dine at one of the participating restaurants, and help us take a bite out of homelessness!

- Make a donation to Fife House between April 15 to April 19, 2026. Earn a raffle entry for every $10 you donate.
- Complete the following event survey by midnight, April 19, 2026: Click here for the survey.
